Delay
Delay repeats a sound after a short or long period of time.

Explanation
Delay creates echoes or repeats of the original sound. It can be used subtly to add depth or more obviously as a rhythmic or creative effect. Many delays can be synchronised to tempo in the DAW, which makes them fit the groove of the track more naturally.
