Auxiliary send/return

An auxiliary send/return routes part of a signal to another path and brings the processed signal back into the mix.

Also called: Aux send, Aux return, FX send, FX return

Level relevance: introduced at Nat 5; tagged for every later level where the same concept remains useful.

Explanation

Aux sends are commonly used for shared effects such as reverb or delay. Each channel can send a chosen amount to the effect, while the return brings the wet signal back so it can be blended with the dry sound.
